TOWER RESCUE

Tower Rescue is a comprehensive program designed to prepare participants for emergency response to high-angle rescue incidents that may occur on communications towers, radio towers, and other types of man-made structures. The course is structured across three competency levels: Awareness, Operations, and Technician. Notably, the curriculum surpasses the requirements outlined in both NFPA 1670 and 1006 standards, ensuring a high benchmark for training and safety. This course has been developed specifically for workers tasked with the maintenance of modern towers. Emphasizing both safety and efficiency, the training centres on tower techniques that utilize pre-engineered and component rescue systems. Participants learn the practical skills and correct use of rescue equipment, enabling them to perform rescues at any location, whether inside or outside the tower, including inter-decks, yaw-decks, and ladders. Rescuers will learn and practise a range of rescue techniques, including methods for assisting both harnessed and non-harnessed victims. Instruction also covers procedures for packaging individuals in a litter when necessary. To reinforce the skills and knowledge acquired, participants will engage in realistic, problem-solving exercises designed to simulate actual emergency scenarios, providing valuable hands-on experience.
